Mandate Letter Summaries
Mandate letters outline the objectives that each minister will work to accomplish, as well as the pressing challenges they will address in their role.
We at SUTE have reviewed the contents of the mandate letters not because we are in favour of or against any one Minister or the current leading party, but to see what commitments are being made by the government and on behalf of each Minister, in order to further hold the federal government accountable in terms of efforts to engage in climate justice.
To avoid any miscommunications we have noted commitments directly from the letters themselves. If you have any questions about any policy promises, legislation, or terminology from this resource, let us know by clicking here.
