Marketing and Communications Officer (Comms Dept)
Time commitment: Minimum 3-5 hours/week volunteer commitment, in addition to active learning club (details below).

Responsibilities:
Coordinating the creation and posting of weekly content on SUTE's social media platforms including copy-writing, responding to comments/ direct messages, & engaging with other audience interactions, creating engaging Instagram stories, Tweets, and more
Contributing social media content creation ideas to our Comms Dept as they align with our brand voice and organizational values
Analyzing our social media metrics and website analytics for areas of improvement &/or opportunity
Attending the Active Learning Club (ALC), which is a monthly meeting (mandatory for all members of Shake Up The Establishment) where we continue one's on-going education on climate and social justice issues in our society, to consistently decolonize our activism and strive to practice better allyship. The structure of the ALC is around 2 hours of individual reading/ viewing material per month, and a monthly meeting to discuss the material.
Qualifications:
Attention to detail, leadership, and organizational skills.
Works well independently and is comfortable with working with a team in an online setting (Slack, Google Suite, Zoom).
Previous experience with social media management, environmental justice, and the non-profit/ charitable organization sector.
Knowledge of website design and/or Adobe suite design software is an asset, but not necessary.
Multilingual ability with French and English is considered an asset.
