Chief Research Officer - Executive Committee
Time commitment: 5 hours/week minimum, in addition to Active Learning Club (details below)

Responsibilities:
Acts as a liaison between Directors including the Director of Knowledge Translation, Director of Policy Interventions, and Director of Campaigns and Partnerships and the Executive Council on high level research directions, priorities, and large-scale projects
Attend weekly meetings with the Executive Council to provide and receive project and organizational updates
Attend weekly leadership meetings with the Executive Council and Directors to share necessary Executive-level information and receive updates
Coordinate with the Directors and General Members to distribute research related roles, assign tasks, and receive team member level updates
Remain available as a point of contact for General Members and Directors for inter-departmental projects that involve the research team
Assist Executive Council with organizational duties and projects on an as-needed basis
Liaise with the Chief Development Officer and Director of Funding to seek and secure funding to support emerging and ongoing research-based needs
Liaise with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure distribution of appropriate funds required to carry out research-based activities
Lead projects and liaise with the necessary internal and external stakeholders to ensure sustainability and timely completion
Check and engage with Slack daily at minimum
Attending the Active Learning Club (ALC), monthly learning that is mandatory for all members of the organization
Completing any and all additional mandatory onboarding training and seeking opportunities to continue educational and professional development trainings on topics and skills relevant to their work contributions in our space, alongside JEDI priorities
Upholding the legal duties and laws regarding nonprofit governance, including adhering to Shake Up The Establishment (SUTE) bylaws, policies, and board resolutions
